Branson vacation/Silver Dollar City

Well, as usual I upload these pictures in the wrong order, but it takes too long to re-do it. Okay, Mom and Dad took me and the girls to Branson on vacation this summer. David was in Atlanta on business, so he wasn't with us. In the beginning, Mom wanted to take the girls somewhere...then she wanted me to go with them...then when Mom started making reservations, Dad decided he wanted to go. We all had a blast. Dad ate his first Backyard Burger and played putt putt golf for the first time ever. Those pics will be on the next post. Anyway, we went to Silver Dollar City on a Saturday...got there at 10:00 a.m. and left at 7:30 p.m. Yes, we were there for a solid 9 1/2 hours. We ended the day with go-carts and bumper boats...Lauren kept saying "they're not go-carts, they're race cars!" She and I rode together and Mom rode one by herself...Daddy and Morgan watched. We have a couple pics from that, but they're blurry.

Here's Morgan getting ready to ride the bumper boats. We were soaked by the time we got off these things. They have this button you push to squirt water on each other. This one little boy targeted me every time! This was at Silver Dollar City. Daddy had already ridden a couple of scary rides with me, so he passed on this one. This one is called "Wildfire". It goes upside down about 5 or 6 times at least. I rode it twice. It was toward the end of the day and there was hardly a line at all. We stopped to take a rest and watched one of the many shows there. This was the first ride we rode. I can't remember what it was called, but at one point it felt like we were going to just fly out into the sky and hit a tree!!
I was getting a little worried wondering if there was going to be something holding me in this thing. Finally, this "thing" came up behind us and locked us in tight! Here we go! This was so much fun! The water was cold and we got wet, wet!!! Especially Daddy! You can kind of see how wet his back is in this picture.
Yep...they just got splashed...check out the looks on their faces! Daddy riding the elephants with Morgan. There goes Nana with Lauren. Daddy was originally in the front with Morgan, but he couldn't get the lap bar to lock, so they wouldn't let him ride. :(The weather that day could not have been more perfect. I never broke a sweat. We were actually a little chilly...especially after a few of those "wet" rides. We rode a lot more rides than I have on here, but I would be here all night long if I posted all the pictures we took. We all had a blast and made lots of memories there with Nana and Paw. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us there!

Misty, I enjoyed looking at your blog. We just love Silver Dollar City. We go every couple of years and have always enjoyed it as much as the kids did. I have never had the guts to get on Wild Fire so Kudos to you for that. Oh and your parents look great.
What part of Arkansas do you guys live in?
