My precious babies!!!

Morgan got a thing for her birthday that lets you design your own clothes on the TV. I hooked it up to our bedroom TV and they tried it out today. Morgan has a little journal that she draws in. She has so many different clothes designs in there and she loves doing it. Who knows, she may be a fashion designer someday. My pretty babies!
Mommy's little angels! My life wouldn't be complete without them.

A fun night of bowling!

Last Saturday night, we went out to eat with some friends and then on to the bowling alley. David and I love to bowl and our girls are starting to really like it too. Morgan rocks on Wii bowling...and she's not too bad doing the real thing either. Here she is ready to roll! Jordyn and Lauren are doing the "car wash" dance. They just love Jordyn. They had spent the night with her the night before while David and I went to the Valentine Banquet at our church. We went to pick them up, but neither of them wanted to come home with us and Elizabeth insisted that we let them stay...so we did. Here's Elizabeth...I've mentioned her name enough in my past posts I figured I better put a picture of her on here. We both teach 4th grade together and have become very good friends this year. You wouldn't have thought that if you knew the story of our first encounter. She thought I was a snob, which in fact, I was not in a very chipper mood when I went to interview. In case some of you didn't know, I loved Prescott, loved our church, and had made some very dear friends that I was sad to leave. I didn't want to move, but knew we had to. So needless to say, I was sort of sad the day I interviewed...and she thought I was a snob. It's really funny to hear her tell the story. Who would have thought that we would become as close as we are now?The "Three Muskateers"...Morgan Cassels, Jordyn Nowlen, and Lauren Cassels. These girls are inseparable. They play with each other nearly everyday after school while Elizabeth and I are doing last minute things to get ready for the next day.
And here's David and Joe (Nowlen). Can you feel the enthusiasm? Actually, David is kind of sad because his wife is whipping his tail in bowling!!! hee hee :-)
Lauren was more interested in posing for the camera than bowling. She kept saying, "Mommy, take my picture now...let me see, let me see."And the winner is...ME!!!!!! Yes, you are seeing this correctly...your eyes are not deceiving you. My final score was 164 and David's...well, a 133. This isn't the first time I've beat him...it's just the first time that I've taken a picture as proof. I don't know what was wrong with the screen, but everytime I would snap the picture, part of the screen was black. Oh well, I got the important part...my final score! I love ya, Dave!

Workin' in the yard!

Tiger was in his pen last Saturday while David worked in the yard. He had him out for a little while...until he decided to start cutting down trees! By the way, Tiger weighed 28.9 pounds at his visit on February 3rd. He had gained 6 pounds in a month. He's getting so big and is so pretty. Can you see his new LSU collar that his Uncle Mike sent him??? :-) He has a matching leash too! I was inside and heard a loud noise outside...when I looked, a tree had fallen. Don't worry, it didn't fall all by itself...David cut it down along with 2 others. I guess he just didn't like the looks of them and got a wild hair to cut them down. I have to say, it does look much better with them gone. He has a lot more he wants to do around here...we just need to wait for warmer weather.
This is his shop out back...our should I say, the #1 selling point when we bought this house. He loves his shop. It's insulated and even has electricity!

Lazy day

I've been so lazy today. Normally I'm going 90 to nothing on Saturday mornings cleaning my house. All I've done today is change sheets, clean my kitchen, and wash tons of clothes. I'm just not in the mood to clean today. It's gloomy outside which makes me just want to curl up and watch movies. David just got through baking some cookies for us to snack on...yummy! I just joined "facebook" today. It's soooo neat. I've found friends that I haven't talked to in years. I even found one girl that I was friends with in college and haven't talked to her or seen her since I was pregnant with Lauren. I've requested lots of friends, but haven't heard from all of them yet. Some of them were people I went to high school with that, once again, I haven't talked to or seen in years. Well, I better go try these cookies. Maybe I'll get on here later and upload pics from last weekend's bowling outing. I'll be sure to post the picture of our scores too...yes, I beat David and I have a picture to prove it!!!! :-)

Forgot to mention...

I do remember telling you that David was gone skiing on Morgan's birthday weekend. Well, I never updated you on their trip. He had a blast...as usual. David and his brother decided to each take a GPS that would track their speed down the slopes. I knew they were crazy, but I never thought they were this crazy...David reached a speed of 64 mph and Mike...well, his was a little faster...try 72 mph. Can you imagine???? If you've ever been skiing (and I have), that would scare the living daylights out of me to know I was traveling that fast down a ski slope. Dr. Teed's son even joined in on the fun. At one point though, David, Mike, and John (Dr. Teed's son) were stopped by ski patrol. Yes, they do stop you for going too fast on skis! I wish I had some pictures to share of their trip, but I don't. I'm just thankful they all made it back in one piece...and I really mean one piece.

Time for a change

I realize that it's still Valentine's Day, but I was ready for a background change. I know this one is dark, but it has two of my favorite colors in it...purple and black. Yes, red is also one of my favorite colors, but I couldn't resist this background...enjoy!

Sweetheart Banquet

My sweetheart...my Valentine!!! David and I went to the Sweetheart Banquet at our church last night. We started the night off with supper (spaghetti, bread, salad) and for dessert, brownies with a homemade chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Christy's mother was the one who did all the cooking and made the chocolate sauce from scratch...talk about delicious! Mmmm...Mmmm! Then, on to the "Newlywed game". We weren't one of the couples who participated, but the ones who did had us laughing so hard until my face was hurting. I don't know who all has heard of or seen "cardboard testimonies"...well, we did something similar...instead of giving a testimony, we had to write something about our spouse. All you do is go up in front of everyone and hold up your cardboard and you don't have to say a word. Some people were funny (David being one of them) and some were on a more serious note (that would be me). On the front of my cardboard, I wrote "My husband David..." and on the back it said "is the best husband and father! He is also my best friend." On the front of David's cardboard (which, by the way, was a box that had Little Debbie on it, you know...the snack cakes) he wrote, "I love my wife more than..." and on the back, he drew an arrow pointing to the picture of Little Debbie. Ha Ha...very funny David. Oh well, I wouldn't have him any other way. This is my friend, Crystal. She and I have become pretty close this year. We team together at MIS. As a matter of fact, I first met her when I interviewed at MIS. She was on the interview team. I was hired last March. Then I saw her again when we starting visiting Pauline Baptist Church. She and her husband, Landon, are a hoot and my kids adore them. They are expecting their first child in August.
We ended the night with a little karaoke (not sure if I spelled that right). These guys were having too much fun! They were singing an Oak Ridge Boys song.
Without a doubt, you should be able to tell what part of an Oak Ridge Boys song they were singing here...base of course.

Getting ready for Valentine parties

The girls are hard at work on their Valentine cards. Lauren refused to have any help. She wanted to do it all on her own. This is the first year that I haven't had to fill out any cards:-( Morgan had a list of names of those in her classroom...Lauren only had to fill out the "from" part of her cards. She can write her name, but I went ahead and wrote it on a piece of paper for her so she could look at it if she needed to. Afterall, she had to write her name 20 times!!!!!Here she is looking at the paper where I had written her name. Isn't this just precious??? If she ran out of room writing her name, she just continued it on the next line. Hey, at least she knows to go from left to right and return to the left...that's one of the first ways we learn how to read. Morgan's almost done...she's checking the names off as she goes.

Happy 8th Birthday Morgan!!!

It's hard to believe that my baby is 8 years old. We celebrated her birthday ON her birthday (February 6th) with her first ever sleepover. This cake was made by a Kindergarten teacher at MES who makes cakes on the side. It turned out so pretty and was very delicious. I know now who I will use from now on. The theme...Hannah Montana, of course. We started the night off at Pizza Hut. The girls were starving, so we (Mom, Elizabeth, myself, and 5 little girls) loaded up and headed out to eat.
When we got back, we were all so stuffed full of pizza and weren't hungry for cake yet. So, we started by letting Morgan open her gifts. I didn't upload all of the pictures of her opening presents...just a few.
She was so excited here because one of the things that she asked for was the High School Musical 3 Nintendo DS game...and she got it from us.
We went ahead and sang Happy Birthday and let her blow out her candles...but we still waited a little while longer on eating the cake. BUT when we did finally eat it...it was delicious!!!
We ended the night with a dip in the tub. I knew they all wouldn't be able to fit in Morgan's tub, so we decided to let them bathe in ours. They had a blast and yes, there was water everywhere. Can you look at them and tell they were having a blast????
Mom stayed the night with us, but Elizabeth went home. We were up until after midnight. I told the girls that I wasn't going to sleep until I knew they were all sound asleep. Mom and I stayed up in the living room watching my Grey's Anatomy episode that I recorded. I had to go in their rooms several times to finally get them calmed down. Finally, they went to sleep. Lauren ended up sleeping with Mom and me. I just knew that after going to sleep so late they would at least sleep late...WRONG!!! They were up in the kitchen at 7:15 the next morning wanting breakfast. I made them wait until almost 8 because I wanted to get a little more sleep, but that didn't happen. Mom and I ended up in the kitchen cooking pancakes and scrambled eggs for them. We had an assembly line going...wish I had a picture of that!! Needless to say, that will be our last sleepover for a while. I'm getting too old to stay up that late! :-)

Morgan

Ok...I said I would give you an update on her lab results and almost forgot. They said that the results were negative. That was only for 2 of the tests that they did (one of them being salmonella). The other 2 test results take 7-10 days. I'm assuming they'll call me if there's a problem. He said that when she was on the Omnicef that it could have killed her "good" bacteria which in turn could have been the cause of all of this. He has her on a medicine now to counteract that. She's getting back to normal and able to eat again. She's getting geared up for tomorrow night. Tomorrow is her 8th birthday and she's having a sleepover. I'll have 5 little girls here tomorrow night (that's including my two). PLEASE pray for me! David is leaving for Colorado in the morning after "Donuts for Dads" at Morgan's school. He will miss out on all the fun. We'll have the party at 5:00, then take them to eat at Pizza Hut (Morgan's choice), then back to the house for playtime. There's no telling what the girls' bedrooms will look like, but that's ok. As long as they have a good time. I'll have all weekend to get it back in order. My mom is coming to help out and so is Elizabeth (Jordyn's mom). I'm sure I'll be posting pictures from the party.

Another update!

Ok...now that I've caught you up on pictures, I'll catch you up on Morgan. We had a busy weekend...well, David and I did. As for Morgan, she was literally in the recliner ALL weekend. She hasn't been out of her pajamas except to take a bath and put on clean ones. Her stomach was a little worse this weekend. I've given her Immodium chewable tablets (since she won't drink Pepto...can't say that I blame her). I've slept with her the past two nights. Friday night she was up 4 different times in the bathroom so I know she didn't rest well. Last night was better. I'm going to send her to school tomorrow and see how she does. They can always call me to come get her. As for David and I, we were pretty busy. David got up on the house and blew the gutters out with his blower, then blew all the leaves up in a pile out of the yard. He also had to clean up dog poop. Our yard looks so much better. And being the sweetheart husband that he is, he even washed my car for me. In the meantime, I was inside getting the house all cleaned up...mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and washing everything I could get my hands on. Everyone has clean bedding...including Tiger. David brought him in from outside about the time I was taking his bed out of the dryer...talk about lovin' it...he curled up in his nice warm bed and took a nap. I kept Morgan home this morning and David and Lauren went to Sunday school and church. While they were gone, I cleaned the inside of my car. It looks like new again. I'm going to call the doctor's office again tomorrow to see if they have Morgan's lab results. I'll let you know what I find out. Bye for now.

Pics from last weekend

I took Lauren to a birthday party last weekend. The little boy in the middle was the guest of honor. I think Lauren is a little sweet on him. She's made friends with these two at church and at school.
Check out this big playhouse!!! The church rents this out for $50 and it's well worth it. I lost count of how many times Lauren slid down. No wonder she was wiped out when we got home. Up she goes!!

Look out! Here she comes! This was one of her first trips down. She had a blast!
Look at her face! A word to the wise...if you rent one of these machines, only allow 2 or 3 kids to go up at a time. At one time, there were several of them climbing up on one side which made that side heavier...yes, you guessed it...this monstrous thing fell over!!! Thankfully, no one was hurt and thankfully Lauren had just gotten off to come tell me something. Talk about scared...I saw it all happening, but there was nothing I could do.

Pictures...finally!!!

One of Lauren's favorite things to do after school is to get in the bean bag and let Tiger crawl all over her.

He can get a little out of hand at times, but she still loves it!

I think at this point I was probably telling him to settle down. I know he's just a puppy, but I'm scared he'll accidentally hurt her.

Isn't he pretty and hasn't he grown??? He goes back to the vet for his booster shot on Tuesday and we'll see how much he weighs. Remember last time he weighed 22.9 pounds which was about a month ago.
Nana came to visit and you would have thought Tiger had known her all his life. He hasn't seen her since Christmas. He was literally ALL OVER HER. He couldn't get enough of her.

I told you...he was even climbing behind her head...and on top of it too! :-)
I think by this time she had had enough. I had to put him up. Her hair WAS fixed when she got here.

I told you Tigerman LOVES his daddy!!! He just can't get enough sugar from him.
