LSU vs. Arkansas
OK...OK...so Arkansas won...big deal! It was only by 1 point and hey, you Arkansas fans have to admit you were a little scared there for a while when the score was 30 to 14. I did notice that no one bothered texting me when we were winning. That's how it always goes though. No one texts me when LSU is winning, but the minute we start losing, people start blowing my phone up with texts. I think I had 5 come in at the same time as soon as the game was over. Enjoy your little Golden Boot trophy...we don't have room. Our two crystal footballs are filling our trophy case! Good luck in your bowl game...wait, never mind!

BFF's
This is Marcia...AKA Aunt Sha Sha to my kids. Marcia stopped by Mom's on Thanksgiving to say hi. Of course, we had to have our picture made together. Dawn wasn't there or it would have been all three of us in the picture. We were known as the "Three Muskateers" growing up. I've been gone from Louisiana for almost 10 years now, but will always consider them my BFF's!!!

LSU vs. Ole Miss
Well, we lose once again. I'm seriously considering following another team! NOT! It's really hard to sit there and watch LSU get beat so bad by Ole Miss of all teams. Oh well, we had a good time. We had tickets on the 2nd row...yes, I said 2nd row. I'll never sit there again. I got some good pictures...of the players behinds!!!! I did get to see them up close...heck, we were right behind the CBS camera. However, I couldn't see what was going on on the field. I kept having to look up at the screen on the scoreboard. Right before halftime, David and I moved up where Mike was sitting. He text me and said there were a few empty seats around him that no one had claimed yet...so we moved. I got some pics, but none of me and David. He was too mad to have a picture made with me. Mad at the game, that is. So I'll share a few (of the players behinds) to let you see just how close we were at the beginning of the game.

Don't forget to unload your car after shopping!!!!
I just wanted to give you all a little reminder (I seem to need plenty these days, I don't know what's happening to my memory)...don't forget to unload your car after Christmas shopping. Anyway, when I got home from shopping Saturday night, I thought, well I'll unload the car later...the girls are still up and they don't need to see all of this. I ended up unloading what I had bought for myself (I mean, come on, who goes Christmas shopping without buying something for yourself?) Well, as I mentioned in my last post, we had company come over to watch the game and me and my wonderful memory forgot to finish unloading the car after the girls went to bed. Wellll, I had to go by Wal-Mart today after work to pick up a few things. Morgan knows the code to my car that unlocks all the doors AND pops my trunk. On our way out to the car, I told her to go ahead and unlock it and pop the trunk for me. Boy, it sure would help me if my memory was a little better than it is. Sooooo, I'm standing at the back of the car...she pops the trunk and walks back to open it for me. As soon as the trunk went up...I gasped and slammed it shut!!!! I'm just thankful her little hands weren't in the way. WHEW!!! You should have seen the look on her face...I think I scared her to death. She said, "What's that?" I said, "Oh,...I forgot to unload all the presents I bought for everyone the other night." She said, "Is any of it ours?" I said, "NO." Then she said, "What was in that box...it looked like a play computer or something?" I said, "I don't remember...it's probably something I bought for someone else...get in the car and get buckled." Needless to say, I had to cram everything I bought at Wal-Mart in the front seat of my car. I sure am going to miss "Jungle Jim" and "Sugar's" house this year. We knew where their spare key was and before I would go home from Christmas shopping, I'd make a stop at their house and unload. Now I just need to remember to unload it all before I pack the car up to go to Louisiana this weekend!!!

A fun day of shopping
Well, I don't have a picture to add to this post, but wanted to let you know how my shopping day went yesterday. I met Marcia and Misty in Monroe yesterday morning...well, our plans were to meet at 9:30, BUT someone was a little late...try after 11:00. Oh well, it didn't stop me...I shopped until they got there. We shopped in the mall, then on to Toys-R-Us. Boy did we have a hay day in there. I ran into Janet (my principal from Prescott), her daughter Katie, and her two beautiful boys. It was good to visit with Janet...I haven't seen her since I moved from Prescott in May. I sure miss them all. We had to take a break from shopping long enough to eat so we decided to eat at Copeland's. If you've never eaten there, you need to try it. The food is delicious. Marcia and Misty dropped me back off at the mall around 4:00 and I shopped for a couple more hours, then headed home. I got a lot done, but still have so much more to do. I'm seriously considering shopping online. At least that way you could avoid the crowds. When I got home, David had bought the LSU/Troy game on tv. Boy, LSU is forevermore struggling this year. Some friends of ours from church came over and watched it with us. We barely pulled that game off. Well, I have lots to do before bed. David will be out of town on business Monday through Thursday of this week, then we'll be headed to Baton Rouge Friday night. Not sure I'll have much to post this week...we'll see.

Ready for a break!
I'm so ready for tomorrow to be over with. I'm still worn out from the weekend and could have literally taken a nap today at school. I yawned my head off from lunch until the end of the school day. We're about to have a long break though. Kids are out Thursday and Friday. Teachers have professional development Thursday, but guess what??? We're off Friday too!!! YEAH!!!! Of course, I've already got my days and nights planned. Thursday night, I plan to take the girls to see Madagascar 2. I'm going to clean house all day Friday and just kick back and relax Friday night. I'm getting up early Saturday morning and heading to Monroe to meet Marcia and Christmas shop ALL day. I plan to get a lot done. I have only bought 2 gifts and have a ton more to buy. Then Sunday, of course, church, out to eat, nap, and get ready for next week. One more full week and then we'll have our Thanksgiving break. I'll be worn out again. I'll be heading to Louisiana Tuesday when we get out. Stay Tuesday and Wednesday night in Louisiana. Eat at Mom's Thursday and head to Little Rock to spend the night and get ready for the LSU/Arkansas game. Maybe I'll see some of my Arkansas friends there. Gotta go for now...ttyl!

Meet Jersey and Millie!
Just scootin' around LSU!
I know, you're probably laughing right now wondering if we really rode this around campus. Yes, we did! And boy did we ever get some looks...and laughs :-) Hey, it came in handy when we were walking to the stadium and back. She carted my kids around. Melanie and I had to be careful when we were on it together...it kept wanting to "bottom out" when we'd hit a bump for some reason!! HA!

Trick or Treat!
Guess who? Well, you probably guessed who Morgan was...none other than Hannah Montana. Lauren, on the other hand, may be hard to figure out. She was Sharpay from High School Musical. They had a blast trick-or-treating here in Monticello. We loaded up on candy and need to give it away so we'll stop eating it! By the way, if you like High School Musical, you'll love the new one...High School Musical 3. I took the girls to see it and it was so good! Next on our list is Madagascar 2. We love kid movies!

Playin' "dress up" at Nana's
Isn't this precious? Our girls LOVE to play dress up at Nana's house. One of their favorite friends in Columbia is Jessa. Everytime they go to Nana's they want Jessa to come over and play. Nana has a room upstairs with a trunk full of dress up clothes. As soon as we get there, that's the first place they go. I shouldn't even bother packing much when we go to visit because all they wear are the dress up clothes while we're there.
Friends forever

Crazy Hair Night at AWANA

Well, you guessed it! Crazy hair night at AWANA. Mom was here...thank goodness. She worked on the girls for a while trying to get some crazy hair do's. Lauren wasn't too crazy about it at first. She said everyone would laugh at her. She has a thing about thinking people will think she looks funny. I told her that everyone would have crazy hair at AWANA. Well, my girls were two of the few who participated. I almost fell out when I walked Lauren to her classroom and she was the only one who had crazy hair. Her leaders even forgot! I thought I was going to have to take her back home, but she stayed and one little boy came in with his hair spray painted. Thank God!
Well, this is all new to me so I hope it turns out ok. I wish I had started this a long time ago. I guess I can start with the girls first day of school. They look real happy in this picture, right? Well, that was before the day began. Lauren did fine and adjusted well. Morgan, on the other hand, did not do so well. She was so excited about starting a new school and then BAM!!! I don't know what happened, but that all changed when she came back to me at the end of the day. It took her at least 2-3 weeks to adjust to her new school. I must say, she is doing extremely well now and loving it! Lauren...well, she's been fine from the get go. Let's just hope it stays that way.
