Missed work again!

I got up this morning...got completely ready for work...went in the girls' room at 6:30 a.m., woke Lauren up and she felt pretty warm...took her temp and it was 101.7. I walked back in the living room and said to David, "well, I'm staying home today." He went ahead and got Morgan up, got her ready, fixed her breakfast and she was in the bathroom after her first bite. Let me back up...Morgan's stomach was pretty messed up when we got home yesterday from school. She couldn't even finish her supper. After their bath, she put herself in the bed at 7:15...you could tell she didn't feel good. She's been on Omnicef (a pretty powerful antibiotic) for a week now and it's been known to do this to your stomach, but I would think it would have done it before now. Soooo, she was back in the bathroom this morning with the same problem and I just kept her home too. I took them both to the doctor today at noon. Lauren has another ear infection and is now on Omnicef (she's so use to it though, it doesn't hurt her stomach anymore). He took Morgan off of the Omnicef and told me to give her Pepto Bismol as needed and also gave me a prescription for phenergan gel to put on her wrist for nausea if this turns into something else. He said he's seen a lot with the stomach virus lately...UGH! I'd rather have anything except that. I'm sending them both to school tomorrow unless Morgan wakes up like this again in the morning...then David will stay home with her. I hate missing work because it's more work for a teacher to be out than it is to just be there. You get so far behind on what you were going to teach. Oh well, the week's almost over. Hopefully we can all stay well. So long for now.
