Shopping is fun but tiring...

Spring break is here and time to do some spring shopping for the girls (I need to be doing spring cleaning in my house, but shopping was much more fun). My alarm clock went off at 6:40 yesterday morning which was not the sound I wanted to hear on my first official day of spring break. I hit the snooze a couple of times, but was up by 7. The girls and I left around 8:30 a.m., picked up Elizabeth and her daughter Jordyn, and headed to Monroe. We got to the mall shortly after 10 so it had just opened. It couldn't have been more perfect. They are not on spring break right now in Louisiana so the mall was not crowded at all. A perfect day for shopping! I got the girls some really cute spring clothes, shoes, and even their Easter dresses. I didn't go for the pastels this year...their dresses are black and white...Lauren's even has a hot pink ribbon around the waist and is so cute!!! We literally shopped for 9 hours...whew was I tired! Lauren held out better than I ever dreamed, but I promise it was because Jordyn was with us. I didn't really start "feeling" it (being worn out, that is) until we were in the last store around 7:00 and my legs literally started aching. I knew then it was time to go. We ended our day with some good ole' Johnny's pizza. Monroe is only an hour and a half away so we were home by 9:30 p.m. Needless to say, I slept hard until 9 this morning and still have my p.j.'s on. I guess I better get dressed and get to town...gotta get my oil changed and run a few more errands. To my fellow "spring breakers" (as Valarie calls us), enjoy your week...hopefully it will drag by.

p.s. I'll take some pics of their Easter dresses and post them later.
